About Eat Your Ice Cream: The wellness world is full of noise. Every week, another influencer’s social media post, an article in the popular press, or a podcast episode claims to have discovered the secret to life—from ashwagandha and a keto diet to cold plunges, weighted vests, and on and on. Indeed, the “Wellness Industrial Complex” promises quick fixes to improve your health and extend your life in exchange for a lot of your time (and money) right now. What if the real key to living well doesn’t rest in fads or new extreme remedies but a simpler approach? What if the most important keys to living well don’t cost you a dime?
