CeaseFirePA
Starting their work in 2002, CeaseFirePA is the Commonwealth’s leading state-based gun violence prevention organization building a life without gun violence that allows people from every community across the commonwealth to thrive—where people feel safe, because they ARE safe. We envision a life without gun violence that allows people from every community across PA to thrive. From coordinating national organizations’ efforts in the state to strategically directing and supporting local partners, we’re at the center of gun violence prevention in the community.
The PA Health Professionals to End Gun Violence coalition is a strong, united voice for all healthcare and public health professionals in Pennsylvania who want to put a stop to the senseless gun violence that is taking lives and destroying communities. Public health and healthcare professionals not only deal with the impacts of gun violence at a patient and population-level – they also personally confront the threat, with American healthcare workers facing more workplace violence than personnel in any other field, including law enforcement. Gun violence is a public health crisis and the public health community has a critical role to play and a powerful voice to make heard in pushing for a world where we can all live free from gun violence.

Open Door Abuse Awareness Prevention
Coach V will discuss ODAAP’s unique approach to addressing gun violence through a trauma-informed and education-centric lens. Rather than focusing solely on the concept of gun violence prevention—an idea we believe is incomplete without addressing the reality of existing firearms—I’ll emphasize the critical role of education and gun safety.

Moms Demand Action
Moms Demand Action is a grassroots movement of Americans fighting for public safety measures that can protect people from gun violence. We pass stronger gun laws and work to close the loopholes that jeopardize the safety of our families. We also work in our own communities and with business leaders to encourage a culture of responsible gun ownership. We know that gun violence is preventable, and we’re committed to doing what it takes to keep families safe.
