The July 21st Skull Drawing Workshop is now sold out!

Join us for a workshop offering behind-the-scenes access to learn how to draw using skulls that are not currently on display in the Mütter collection.

A step-by-step guide to proportion and measuring will be available for beginners. The class will take place upstairs in historic Ashhurst Hall, previously the library's reading room, filled with north-facing natural light. We will examine the similarities and differences between individual skulls and discuss what can be learned about the individuals through visual forensic analysis.

This workshop uses pencils only. Participants may bring sketchbooks no larger than 12".

This workshop is part of our Arts & Medicine series, which invites audiences to engage with the history of medicine through the lens of the fine arts.
