We're Accepting Applications for Our Mütter Youth Programs!

Philadelphia high school students: interested in learning about medicine, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in a place unlike any other? The College of Physicians of Philadelphia is accepting applications for three of our summer and after-school youth programs.

is an after-school internship program for teen girls in Philadelphia and attending high school in Philadelphia who are from Africa or the African Diaspora, were born outside of the U.S. or are first-generation Americans and have an interest in healthcare or STEM careers. The club is a forum for academic and personal support to assist these young women with issues related to schooling, ancestry, ethnicity, and the challenges of adjusting to a new culture. The facilitators of the club also provide mentorship and assistance with academic issues including tutoring, career development, and college/career preparation in a safe, positive, affirming space.

provides Philadelphia’s LGBTQIA youth with healthcare and STEM-oriented instruction, mentorship, academic support, and college/career preparation in an inclusive, safe space. The program offers an opportunity for Philadelphia high school students to learn about science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM), and healthcare/medicine and the career opportunities they provide. The program provides a space where they can cultivate relationships between like-minded, motivated Philadelphia LGBTQIA students and professionals.

is a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and social justice-oriented program for Philadelphia high school students who have been impacted by community violence. Through a variety of educational programs, interns explore the impact of violence upon themselves and their communities while improving their understanding of science, technology, and medicine.
